Symon Brewis-Weston has extensive international financial services experience and was Chair of the StockCo Australia board from 2018 to 2022. He currently holds Non-executive Board roles at Bank of South Pacific (BFL.AX) and Money3 Ltd (MNY.AX). Previously, he served as CEO of Flexigroup and Sovereign, and spent 15 years in senior leadership at Commonwealth Bank Australia. Symon is also a United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles CEO Leadership Award winner.

Based in Hawkes Bay, Rupert has been involved in the primary sector all his life and has a continued involvement in farming. He has been involved in finance and banking for well over a decade having previously worked for two of the largest Agricultural Banks in New Zealand. He enjoys finding solutions and opportunities to help his customers succeed across a range of farming clients from family business’s through to Corporate Farming entities. More recently he has been involved in the financing of livestock across the country which has provided a great opportunity to assist clients through what continues to be a challenging and dynamic environment. Rupert looks forward to providing a ‘by farmers – for farmers’ approach through Oxbury and to work alongside some of the best farmers throughout New Zealand.

Based in Southland, Bryce brings extensive experience in the Agribusiness sector, with a particular focus on livestock finance. Over the years, he has worked closely with farming operations across the South Island, helping them navigate seasonal challenges, manage cash flow, and access tailored financial solutions to support growth and sustainability. His background spans livestock, procurement, and Agri finance, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the sector’s financial dynamics. Bryce is committed to building strong relationships and delivering practical, outcome-focused support to Oxburys farming clients.

Based in Hawke’s Bay, Emma has spent more than 14 years working in agribusiness and comes from a farming background in Taihape. Her experience spans the wholesale seed industry and rural banking, giving her a strong understanding of the realities of farming and the challenges faced by rural businesses.

Emma enjoys building genuine relationships with farmers and helping them navigate opportunities with confidence. She takes a practical, solutions-focused approach and values working alongside clients to support their long-term success. As part of the Oxbury NZ team, Emma is excited to help deliver a specialist approach to rural lending that puts farmers first.

Jeremy Cranswick

Jeremy began his career with KPMG Audit in Auckland before working as planning and forecasting manager for the largest Lloyds insurance syndicate in London. He has expertise in Audit and Assurance, the Finance and Insurance industries, as well as financial modelling and forecasting. Jeremy was the CFO for StockCo NZ and StockCo Australia and was pivotal in the successful build out the Australian business as well as its sale. Jeremy has a knack for being across the technical detail and being able to translate that into layman’s terms. Jeremy is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has qualifications in Accounting and Economics.

Michael comes to Oxbury after 20 years driving the StockCo Australia and New Zealand businesses, bringing with him a wealth of previous agribusiness experience through roles in the meat processing industry and a technical product development company. Michael oversees credit risk and operations for Oxbury. He has a detailed knowledge of farming operations and management of key credit risks. His role also encompasses system development and maintenance, where he brings a process-driven and innovative approach.

Tristan Sage

Tristan is responsible for overseeing Oxbury’s legal needs, regulatory compliance, governance, securities management, and driving strategic projects.

Tristan comes to Oxbury from seven years with StockCo. Before that he spent eight years working in private practice specialising in litigation and dispute resolution, including time in both top tier and regional law firms. He is experienced in dealing with complex legal issues and resolving them in a practical way.

Tristan is a member of the New Zealand Law Society and holds degrees in law, biochemistry and biological sciences. Tristan was a finalist for the “Young In House Lawyer of the Year” award at the 2022 New Zealand Law Awards.

Managing director of StockCo, (originally a New Zealand based specialist livestock financier) since its inception in 1995. The StockCo group commenced in Australia in 2014, quickly emerging as the largest player in “finishing” finance for livestock in Australia and financed over A$2b of livestock receivables. The StockCo Australia business was sold to Heartland Bank in 2022.

James is the CEO of Oxbury Bank Plc. He has led two banks to authorisation and has many years of executive management experience in banking. Prior to Oxbury, he was the CEO and a founding director of ClearBank, taking the first new UK clearing bank for several hundred years from idea to authorisation.

Nick is the Managing Director of Oxbury Bank Plc. He was formerly head of Bank of Scotland’s Agricultural business. In 2000 Nick launched First4Farming in UK and subsequently internationally (Elders were founding Australian partner in 2002). Successfully sold the business as Proagrica to RELX plc, a FTSE 100 company.
